Overview
Our client is currently pulled into a very interesting project to build a Search Engine architecture (a typical oss stack, with OpenSearch/Elastic + Spark + StormCrawler + k8s cluster for “satellite” workloads and services) hosted in GCP, and we’re looking for a Senior Devops Engineer that could implement and maintain such infrastructure.
Specific Skills
The ideal candidate has proven experience on GCP, specifically integrating hosted services, like GCP Elastic, Spark, Cloud Storage and others, with GKE in parallel to host additional services and workloads.
Responsible For
The candidate is also expected to:
1. Support developers in their day to day operations, joining standups, reporting activities and achievements, working on builds and CI/CD pipelines
2. Support the architecture design "evolutions" (and implementation) towards monitoring, performance, scalability, security and costs efficiency.
3. Embrace Agile (Lean) and GitOps (Infrastructure as code, Continuous Deployments, TDD) methodologies, demonstrating experience in past engagements
4. Demonstrate very good (English) communication skills and a positive attitude towards the rest of the team, with proved experience on remote working and time management
